First cross-sea subway route in NE China opens for test ride

Dalian Metro Line 5, the first cross-sea subway line in Northeast China, opened for test ride in Liaoning Province on Wednesday.

Dalian Metro Line 5 is a north-south subway line with a total length of 24.48 kilometers and 18 underground stations, which include seven transfer stations for six other subway lines.

The section between Metro Line 5's Railway Station and Barracuda Bay Station running through the sea area of Barracuda Bay, with a length of 2.87 kilometers, is the first cross-sea subway line in Northeast China.
